As our family seeks to find our new normal, we thought it would be helpful to share this letter to you, our friends and family, about attachment, bonding, and what it means to cocoon. As much as we want for all of you to meet, hug, kiss and hold Angelo, we are learning that there is an important adjustment that needs to take place first for our little guy to feel safe and part of our family. Please know that we share this not as a correction to anyone but we are learning as we go and trying to do at every point what seems best for our son. (Also note that I was going to paste the whole letter here on the blog and change all the "she's" to "he's" but we decided you all could do that in your brains and just pasting the link here will give us more time to cuddle Angelo. 😊)
